Lynn Nagorski, M.A., LIMHP
Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner
Licensed Professional Counselor
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Lynn has great passion for the counseling profession, enhanced by her personal journey of healing, self-discovery, and growth. Life experience has included work as a title insurance underwriter and as a mortgage loan originator. As part of her personal growth, Lynn returned to school in 2004 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Grace University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Doane College. She has facilitated a number of different groups, including Anger Management, Assertive Communication, Co-dependency and Faulty Thinking.

Lynn has been married for 20 years and enjoys traveling with her husband when time allows. Other activities of interest include exercising, attending sporting events (especially football), and learning about history. She also enjoys giving back to the community in a variety of ways through volunteering at her church.

Lynn seeks to assist clients through the change process utilizing a strengths-based approach. She leads others toward positive action by increasing self-knowledge and establishing confidence in decision-making. This includes identifying faulty thinking patterns that often hinder change. Once discovered, a more conscious and realistic way of thinking can be developed. Lynn helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts and feelings; and assists them with learning healthier ways of expressing themselves and making healthier life choices. Change involves taking ownership for one's words, actions, and attitudes. The goal is to help the client achieve greater life satisfaction as they learn to live out of an authentic sense of self.

Her personal faith guides her counseling approach and is based upon the promise that newness of life is possible as we are made new in the attitude of our minds. She is currently working with individuals, couples, and families.
