Trevor Hyatt, MABC, LMHP
Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling
Licensed Mental Health Practitioner

Trevor earned a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, providing an education in contemporary psychology with a Biblical Worldview. Beyond this, Trevor’s undergraduate work was done at the University of Nebraska in Kearney studying philosophy, establishing a foundation in classical education. If he’s not in a book, you might find Trevor enjoying time with his wife, playing with his children, woodworking, or throwing pottery.

Trevor uses a relational view of counseling that begins in the counseling office between the counselor and the client and is broadened into the greater community and the world. Healthy relationships pinpoint struggles, designate a person to walk with through troubles, and provide a place to become more effective in life. Counseling is a safe place and starting point for establishing and maintaining healthy relationships, changing ineffective and unhealthy behaviors, working through vulnerable issues, building effective social skills, and managing mental illness. Counseling also provides a place to work on new ways to manage and accept life changes, build motivation, and consider future potential.

Trevor has a broad range of counseling experience from a background working with community agencies and privately with individuals, marriage and family. Trevor has led groups on anger management, social skills, interpersonal effectiveness, relapse prevention, acceptance and commitment, symptom management, and impulse control.
