Suzanne has a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska. She brings a wealth of life experience and enthusiasm to her work—ranging from a career as a professional singer and years of working in foreign countries to teaching elementary school and music education. Suzanne cherishes her role as a mother and grandmother. She has worked with children, adolescents and families in her practice. She has taught several classes including one for children living in addicted families, one for families with addiction and also parenting classes for single mothers. Suzanne works with clients to create the process of change. She guides the person to engage in healthier thinking patterns that will increase positive action. Through therapeutic work, Suzanne helps clients to understand and express their feelings intertwined with problematic experiences and thoughts. As the cycle of problematic thinking is altered, a renewed sense of energy, purpose and integration of body, mind, spirit and emotions emerges. Her personal faith in Christ is the core of her focus on positive change for clients. Currently she is counseling with extended family systems and working with clients facing substance abuse, other addictions, dysfunctional families, all forms of abuse, and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and transitional problems.
